At OLIN Yacht Design, we bring together yacht design, naval architecture and practical sailing experience to create yachts that are as purposeful as they are beautiful. Whether developing a new yacht from the first sketch, refining an existing design, or giving a classic yacht a new life, we approach every project as a complete design challenge — balancing aesthetics, performance, comfort and engineering from the very beginning.

YACHT DESIGN

We develop bespoke sailing yachts around the way they are intended to be sailed and lived aboard. From the first concept and exterior styling to general arrangement, deck design, interior development and detailed 3D modelling, we create a coherent design where every element has a purpose. Our approach is rooted in proportion, simplicity and timeless character, while embracing the possibilities of modern materials, technology and performance.

NAVAL ARCHITECTURE

A beautiful yacht must also work on the water. Our design process integrates naval architecture from the earliest stages, allowing form and function to develop together. We work across hull development, hydrostatics, stability, performance, structural considerations, rig development and technical coordination, developing designs that are not only visually distinctive but technically considered and buildable.

REFIT & REDEVELOPMENT

Some of the most interesting yachts already exist. We work with owners to rethink, restore and improve existing yachts — from focused refit projects and performance improvements to major redesigns and historically sensitive reconstructions. Our aim is not simply to make an existing yacht look different, but to understand what makes it special and determine how its design, performance and usability can be improved without losing its character.
